   Qualifications | Experience

   

   Flora DePaiva is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She  received a master’s in social work from
the University of Denver with a concentration in Family Therapy as well as a certification in working with the Latino/x population in 2006. Her work in the Greater Boston area has included, Individual and Family Therapy through mental health agencies and non-profit organizations in office, home, and other community settings. Flora has worked in Early Intervention services and  providing classroom mental health consultation through public and private schools.  She specializes in offering trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapy through a holistic and mindful approach in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

  Flora  was born in Brazil and grew up bi-culturally. This experience contributed to her passion in cultural curiosity and sensitivity as well as a commitment to social justice.  Her post-graduate training includes a Psychodynamic fellowship, solution focused training with the Latino/x population, and various trauma-informed interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy level 1 (please see more below for list of certifications).
